Recording King Bill Sullivan Models

While doing some inventory “house keeping” we discovered we still have two Recording King Bill Sullivan tribute banjos in house. Both are brand new, come with a hard shell case and have been set up by our in house luthier Tony Wray. These special instruments were designed by Greg Rich and produced by Recording King as a tribute to his friend and our founder Bill Sullivan. The tributes have mahogany necks and resonators (the resonators have two concentric rings) and they have Granada style engraved armrests and tension hoops. They are numbered instruments, #2 and #34.

Vintage Sullivan Banjos

We recently picked up a couple of Vintage Sullivan banjos and boy are they beauties. Both of these early Sullivans came to us from one of our long time customers whose decided to concentrate his time on his guitar playing. One banjo is a first generation Festival with the torch on the peghead and the simple dot inlay pattern. The other banjo is a highly flamed curly maple Greenbriar. The customer ordered both these banjos in a natural blonde finish and both were made by request with highly figured necks and resonator. Both banjos have Price straight line tailpieces and are in excellent condition (the armrests do show slight wear). Give us a call and we can discuss, they surely won’t be here long.
