Last Saturday local musician Steve Jones stopped by the shop and we were lucky enough to get him to sing and play for us.  Steve chose the Taylor 514CE and the Keith Whitley classic, “Don’t Close Your Eyes” while  Murrell Thixton accompanied on a Sullivan Vintage 35 banjo and added some awesome harmonies.

D’Addario has recently intoduced 3 new sets of strings to the Bluegrass market.  JS60 (Light gauge, 10-20) and JS57 (Medium gauge, 11-22) are Stainless Steel Wound Banjo Strings.  FW74 (11-36) is a Flat Wound Mandolin set.  The new banjo strings are already in stock and the mandolin strings are on order will be here tomorrow (10/14).
